Landscaping estimate template

Landscaping estimates cover wildly different things — a one-off clearance, a full redesign, a monthly maintenance round. This layout handles all three without rewriting it each time.

Access is the hidden cost

The same patio costs twice as much when every barrow of material goes through the house. Ask about access before you price, and write the assumption into the estimate — 'assumes machine access to the rear'. If it turns out to be wheelbarrow-only, you have a written basis to re-price rather than a loss you swallow.

Separate the one-off from the ongoing

Installation and maintenance are different businesses with different margins. Quote the build as a project with a total, and put maintenance on its own line as a recurring monthly figure. Customers who see the ongoing cost up front are far less likely to let the garden fail and blame the planting.

Guarantee plants conditionally

A plant guarantee sells work, but an unconditional one is a liability when the customer never waters. Tie it to a stated watering schedule you hand over in writing. You keep the sales benefit and lose the exposure to someone else's neglect.
